I've been wondering for a long time.
Why are so many fish living in corals or coral reef?
Coral is fixing carbon dioxide and returns it to nature as " Monosaccharides ".
The produced " Monosaccharides" is excreted as mucus from the coral, and the coral body which fixed carbon dioxide is eaten by other organisms as food and diffuses into the ocean.
Thanks to coral is production of " Monosaccharides", many other organisms can live around the coral and on the coral reef.
Change form CO2"carbon dioxide" to calcium carbonate
C of CO2, this is the carbon.
Atmospheric CO2 dissolves in the sea. It combines with water to form H CO3 (bicarbonate ion).
The surplus H also becomes hydrogen ions.
This HCO3 combines with Ca for dissolved seawater to form CaCO3"calcium carbonate".
The problem is that CO2"carbon dioxide" is also formed .
For this reason, corals had been said to emit CO2"carbon dioxide".
The chemical reaction up to this point will naturally proceed if there are three substances, CO2, H2O, and Ca.
Converts form CO2"carbon dioxide" to " Monosaccharides "
Zooxanthellae job "photosynthesis "
The zooxanthellae converts carbon dioxide into "monosaccharides" by photosynthesis.
Only three substances, "monosaccharide", "oxygen" and "water", are produced by this photosynthesis.
"Monosaccharides" use as an energy source for coral and it is synthesized into proteins.
"Coral" to "other living thing" to "other living thing" to "accumulation in the natural world" to "crude oil" (although special time is required).
It is a flow of C carbon from coral to nature world.
